In the myth of The winged carriage and the auriga, Plato makes an analogy between the intern constitution of the human soul and the men. In ancient Greece the auriga was the person who drove a carriage carried by two horses. One horse represented the goodness of humanity, the other the opposite and the auriga was the rational thinking
that led them.

Auriga is the materialization of an investigation regarding to one of the best and more elegant building in Havana in the 20th century. Today, a dangerous ruin that according to specialists “the cause of his deteriorations is that it is located too
closed to the sea”.

The work shows a duality of consequences that ruins can have for the society. On one hand a negative consequence, what can the indifference of men and the influence of time provoke for its own development? On the other hand a positive repercussion, not from a practical point of view but from a spiritual and artistic perspective that evidences the creative potential, a whole poetics that comes out from this kind of structure.
