Based on intuitive movement, my paintings unfold in rhythmic curving patterns bringing a sense of joy and vitality to the spaces they inhabit. With "Earth Gem" colors meld into one another inviting the viewer to slow down and enter the space of the painting. The play of energetic and soft marks are simultaneously calming and energizing and evoke sensations of earth, mineral and sky. The title is also a nod to the unfathomable depth, complexity and preciousness of Mother Earth.
Luminous rhythmic color fields, "Earth Gem" and "Periwinkle Sun" invite the viewer to slow down while they take in the energy of the work.
